Large Asteroid "164 Eva" Crossing Tonight

164 Eva is a large and very dark **'Main-belt' asteroid. It is probably composed of primitive carbonaceous chondritic materials. It has a somewhat irregular orbit. It was discovered by the brothers Paul Henry and Prosper Henry on July 12, 1876. In 2000 Eva was reported occulting a dim star.
**The asteroid belt is a region of the solar system falling roughly between the planets Mars and Jupiter where the greatest concentration of asteroid orbits can be found.
It is termed the main belt when contrasted with other concentrations of minor planets, since these may also be termed asteroid belts. 98.5% of all numbered minor planets lie in this region.
Astroid "164 Eva" Physical characteristics: Diameter 104.9 kilometer or 344,160 feet. Rotation period 13.66 hours. Spectral class 5 C. Abs. magnitude 8.89. Albedo 4 0.049.
Asteroid 164 Eva is indeed a good event that will be visible from populous parts of northern California, Reno, southern Idaho, and on across Yellowstone and eastern Montana to Winnipeg. The time for these areas is at 11:59 UT (3:59 am PST) and at 12:01 UT (6:01 am CST) in Winnipeg.
The star is at J2000 RA 12h 05m 54.2s, Dec +26 deg. 28' 01"; the updated path map and finder charts of different scales are on Steve Preston's site.

The Canadian weather forecast for astronomy shows that it will be hopelessly cloudy in the path from easternmost Idaho to Winnipeg, but there are reasonably good chances for clear skies, or clouds thin enough to observe this event, from the San Francisco Bay area, Reno, and parts of southern Idaho. It shows clouds or fog over Sacramento, but hopefully it may be okay in at least nearby areas.

Nostradamus predicted the arrival of many comets. There is good evidence to suggest that he foresaw the coming of Hale-Bopp in 1997 and Halley in 1910. However, most of his comet predictions have yet to be realised.
Of these, one of the most dreaded and feared is the so-called Millennium Comet. If one studies the following verse, it becomes plainly obvious why this is so:
It is widely believed that "the great motor of the centuries renewed" is another way of saying "when the new millennium begins." Of course, there is much controversy over when Nostradamus actually believed this would happen.
It should not be surmised from Nostradamus' description of a new century and millennium renewed that this needed to occur during either the year 2000 or 2001. In one of his liturgically-dated quatrains, Nostradamus indicated the real start of the the 20th Century would not occur until 1905. Using this same line of reasoning, the "great motor of the centuries" might not be "renewed" until 2005 or 2006 ... or even later.
There are some individuals who believed that the "fire seen" in the sky "dragging long sparks" was the doomed shuttle Columbia burning up and disintegrating on re-entry the morning of February 1, 2003. I must admit, having seen the various videos, that the image is rather striking. However, the apocalyptic vista painted in line 3, which was to follow or happen concurrantly with the event in line 4, has yet to materialise.
The long-dreaded Gulf War II, code-named Operation Iraqi Freedom, failed to ignite the holocaust everyone believed would be unleashed. Of course, there is still time and opportunity for things to go very badly in the Middle East and elsewhere (like the Korean peninsula), but I really believe that by the time they do our "death star" will have arrived and we will know it for the harbinger of doom it will truly be. I don't believe Nostradamus minced words -- something wicked our way comes and it may come quite suddenly without any warning.

A cometary "string-of-pearls" will fly past Earth in May 2006 giving astronomers a fantastic view of a dying comet.
March 24, 2006: In 1995, Comet 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 3 did something unexpected: it fell apart. For no apparent reason, the comet's nucleus split into at least three "mini-comets" flying single file through space. Astronomers watched with interest, but the view was blurry even through large telescopes. "73P" was a hundred and fifty million miles away.
We're about to get a much closer look. In May 2006 the fragments are going to fly past Earth closer than any comet has come in more than twenty years.

"This is a rare opportunity to watch a comet in its death throes—from very close range," says Don Yeomans, head of NASA's Near Earth Object Program at JPL. There's no danger of a collision. "Goodness, no," says Yeomans. "The closest fragment will be about six million miles away -- or twenty-five times farther than the Moon." That's close without actually being scary.
The flyby is a big deal. "The Hubble Space Telescope will be watching," says Yeomans. "Also, the giant Arecibo radar in Puerto Rico will 'ping' the fragments to determine their shape and spin." Even backyard astronomers will be able to take pictures as the mini-comets file through the constellations Cygnus and Pegasus on May 12, 13 and 14. Ironically these comets, so nearby, will not be very bright. The largest fragments are expected to glow like 3rd or 4th magnitude stars, only dimly visible to the unaided eye. "Remember," says Yeomans, "these are mini-comets." They're not like the Great Comets Hyakutake and Hale-Bopp of 1996 and 1997. Those could be seen with the naked eye from light-polluted cities. The fragments of 73P, on the other hand, are best viewed from the countryside--and don't forget your binoculars. The number of fragments is constantly changing. When the breakup began in 1995 there were only three: A, B and C. Astronomers now count at least eight: big fragments B and C plus smaller fragments G, H, J, L, M and N. "It looks as though some of the fragments are themselves forming their own sub-fragments," says Yeomans, which means the number could multiply further as 73P approaches. No one knows how long the "string of pearls" will be when it finally arrives.
Bonus: There could be a meteor shower, too. This is very uncertain, indeed, forecasters consider it unlikely. But an expanding cloud of dust from the 1995 break-up of the comet could brush past Earth in May 2006 producing a display of meteors. Astronomer Paul Wiegert at the University of Western Ontario has studied the possibility: "We believe the cloud is expanding too slowly to reach Earth only eleven years after the break-up," he says, "but it all depends on what caused the comet to fly apart—and that we don't know."
"The most likely explanation is thermal stress, with the icy nucleus cracking like an ice cube dropped into hot soup: the comet broke apart as it approached the Sun after a long sojourn the frigid outer solar system," he explains. "If this is truly what happened, then the debris cloud should be expanding slowly, and there will be no strong meteor shower."
On the other hand, what if "the comet was shattered by a hit from a small interplanetary boulder?" A violent collision would produce faster-moving debris that could reach Earth in 2006. Wiegert expects to see nothing, but he encourages sky watchers to be alert. It wouldn't be the first time a dying comet produced a meteor shower: "One outstanding example is comet Biela, which was seen to split in 1846, and had completely broken apart by 1872," he says. "At least three very intense meteor showers (3000-15000 meteors per hour) were produced by this dying comet in 1872, 1885 and 1892."
Assuming a thermal breakup for 73P, Wiegert and colleagues have calculated the most likely trajectory of its dust cloud. Their results: dust should reach Earth in 2022, "producing a minor meteor shower--nothing spectacular. However," he adds, "the ongoing splitting of the comet means new meteoroids are being sent in new directions, so a future strong meteor shower from 73P remains a real possibility." The watch begins on May 12th.
COMMENTS (3/29/06): Is earth about to be overwhelmed by a cometary "string of pearls"?
Most of us recall how in July 1994, one by one, twenty-one fragments from Comet Shoemaker-Levy, some the size of earth and larger, smashed into Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system. It was a spectacular drama played out on CNN. Millions watched as a bubble of flame and gas larger than earth erupted from the Jovian atmosphere following the collision of the largest fragment with the "king of planets." Scientists told us in no uncertain terms that something that size slamming into our world would either cause its total obliteration or unprecedented destruction events globally.
Prophecy tells us that our planet will never be utterly destroyed by any celestial body, cometary or otherwise. However, there are many prophecies that warn of great destruction to come by swarms of fiery meteors, strange stars, monster comets, and burning mountains from outer space. It appears that we will witness terrifying apparitions in the sky that shall cause great earth changes -- the kind that will make us believe the world is at an end. Great loss of life, human and animal, is also predicted.
So, what of these two largest fragments, 73P-B and 73P-C, that scientists tells us will only come "within 6 million miles" of earth? From the tone of the article they don't sound all that sure, do they? Especially when they say: "what if the comet was shattered by a hit from a small interplanetary boulder? A violent collision would produce faster-moving debris that could reach Earth in 2006."
Something of a contradiction.
How large are these fragments? They are definitely much larger than the mile-wide asteroid mentioned by Nostradamus that slams into the Mediterranean Sea (or they would not be visible to the naked eye from 6 million miles away), but perhaps just the right size to be the burning mountain in the Book of Revelation that will destroy a third of all ocean and sea marine life (along with a third of humanity).
However, in the case of the Revelation rock, earth must first be visited by a universal earthquake known as the opening of the sixth seal, which turns "the sun black as sackcloth of hair" and "the moon the colour of blood." Many contemporary prophecy interpreters believe this will happen when Planet X, also known as Nibiru and Marduk to the ancients, comes near the earth. After this must follow a "hail of fire mingled with blood."
That's a tall order to fill in less than two months time. Not impossible, but unlikely.
So, are there any "deep impact" prophecies around that might apply to a situation such as this one? A situation where two comet fragments could be in danger of colliding with the earth?
Between 1961 and 1965 over 2,000 apparitions of the Virgin Mary appeared at San Sebastian de Garabandal in northwest Spain. Four girls aged eleven and twelve were revealed four warnings in visions concerning the future. The four warnings given were (in order of sequence):

The Warning sounds very much like two comets (or comet fragments in this case) will appear to be on a collision course with the earth -- or with each other at close proximity to our planet. Whether they explode and disintegrate or impact one another is unclear. Whatever happens it will be at a safe distance from us. But up until that point, humanity will be in great fear and dread of the coming "deep impact." We are tempted to conclude this because, according to Conchita Gonzalez, The Warning will be "a fearful thing." One year later will then come The Miracle and a short time after, as little as several months or as long as a few years, a global holocaust called The Chastisement. It is unclear whether conditions of war will already be in progress at the time of the cosmic Warning.The Warning is something that is seen in the air, everywhere in the world and is immediately transmitted into the interior of our souls. It will last a very little time, but it will seem a very long time because of its effect within us. It would be like fire. It will not burn our flesh, but we will feel it bodily and interiorly. The Warning appears like two stars -- that crash and make a lot of noise, and a lot of light -- but they don't fall. It's not going to hurt us but we're going to see it and, in that moment, we're going to see our consciences.
So, are fragments 73P-B and 73P-C hurtling on a direct path towards earth??
This would be much the same scenario as what occurred in the film Deep Impact (after a botched attempt to destroy a single incoming comet with a nuclear blast).
Then, if the prophecy of The Warning is applicable, these two comet fragments would threaten us with a sense of certain and impending doom as they head towards earth, but, before they are close enough to do us any damage, they would collide and destroy each other.
I can only guess what the feelings of the billions of people watching might be, or if any heat/light energy will actually be felt, but it would be the same as The Warning, I would think.If 73P-B and 73P-C are the "two stars" of the Garabandal Warning, then sometime in May or June 2006 they will approach earth and crash in space, then in early spring 2007 The Miracle will occur, leaving physical evidence of its appearance. What form The Miracle will take we do not know, but in 1971 Conchita did narrow the months down to March, April, or May, insisting that it will not occur in either February or June. That brings us then to October 2007, 2008 or 2009 for The Chastisement which will also come from outer space.So, to summarise: The Warning will be a catastrophe from space that, at the last second, will miraculously terminate far enough away to spare this planet and its inhabitants (we hope). The Chastisement will be a catastrophe from space that will succeed in causing great destruction to earth and its inhabitants. This will likely take the form of Planet X as it reaches it closest point to earth, a large celestial object also known by the ancient names of Nibiru and Marduk and the biblical prophetic name of Wormwood. Hyderabad, April 13 (UNI): Comet 73 P Schwassmann-Wachmann, which is breaking up, is heading for a rendezvous with the earth next month coming closer than any other comet in the past 20 years.
"In 1995, it was seen to have broken into three bits, when it was about 240 million kilometers away from the earth. It now appears to have broken into 19 fragments, the closest of these will be just nine million kilometers away around May 12," Dr B G Sidharth, Director, B M Birla Science Centre, here said.
However, these bits would not be very clear and be barely visible to the naked eye. The best time for viewing them would be between May 12 and 14, with the aid of binoculars or a small telescope," he said.
"At that time, the fragments of the Comet will be in the constellations Cygnus (Hansa) and Pegasus (Khagashwa). All this astral phenomenon will be visible in the East from around midnight till the early hours of the morning in the West. There is a small chance that the sighting of the Comet will be accompanied by meteor showers due to its debris, but it seems unlikely," Dr Sidharth added.
The break-up of a comet is a common phenomenon and sometimes fragments may even crash into the earth, as happened in Tunguska (Siberia) in 1908, he said, adding that fortunately, the site of the impact was uninhabited. It is believed that this devastation was caused by the debris of Comet 'Encke'.
However, Dr Siddarth assured that there is no chance of fragments from this particular comet hitting the earth.

KEALAKEKUA, Hawaii, April 13, 2006 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Eric Julien, a former French military air traffic controller and senior airport manager, has completed a study of the comet 73P Schwassmann- Wachmann and declared that a fragment is highly likely to impact the Earth on or around May 25, 2006.
Comet Schwassman-Wachmann follows a five-year orbit that crosses the solar system's ecliptic plane. It has followed its five year orbit intact for centuries; but, in 1995, mysteriously fragmented. According to Julien, this is the same year that a crop circle appeared showing the inner solar system with the Earth missing from its orbit. He argues the "Missing Earth" crop circle was destructive nuclear policies. He links this crop circle to May 25, 2006, and identifies the comet Schwassmann-Wachman as the subject of higher intelligence communications.
Using NASA simulations of the comet's path, Julien concludes that impact is likely around May 25 precisely when the comet crosses the Earth's ecliptic plane. While the first fragment will cross at approximately 10 million miles, lagging fragments threaten to collide. While astronomers have stated that the comet poses no direct threat, Julien argues that some fragments are too small to observe. Astronomers have predicted possible meteor showers indicating some cometary debris will enter the atmosphere.
Julien argues that the kinetic energy of even a 'car sized' fragment will impact the Earth with devastating effect. He concludes the May 25 event is tied in to the Bush administration's policy of preemptive use of nuclear weapons against Iran, and the effect of nuclear weapons on the realms of higher intelligences. Regarding its importance, Julien declares: "we have to save lives when we have such information to share with the public". He further claims it important "to preserve all data, historical artifacts and precious material in the event of such a collision."
Julien predicts that the comet collision will occur in the Atlantic Ocean between the Equator and the Tropic of Cancer, and generate 200 meter waves. Julien concludes that "each person with this information has to take responsibility to warn potential victims."

COMMENTS (4/20/06): The situation has now become very grave indeed. If the comet (or fragment) hits between the equator and the Tropic of Cancer, in the Atlantic, this could mean great devastation to Florida to say the very least. Depending on the size, of course. This would match my dream of an asteriod collision off the coast of Florida causing Miami and Tampa to be totally inundated by waves hundreds of feet high. See my dream from April 28, 2001 on the following Dream Window. Based on this dream I projected all of Florida would be inundated after the coastal cities in either July/August 2005 or July/August 2006. This prediction can be found on 2005 (Part Three). I find this all to be a bit too much of a coincidence.
Those of you awaiting my West Coast quake prediction may not have much longer to wait if the worst happens. I should also add that I made a slight error in my vectors for March and May: they should be April and June. The prediction was in part based on the Joshua Tree-Mendocino Earthquakes of April 1992 and the Landers-Big Bear quakes in June 1992. That was 14 (2 x 7) years ago. That is the precedent for your "double" earthshock.
One can only hope that this situation with Comet Schwassmann-Wachmann boils down to two fragments at risk of hitting earth and the Garabandal scenario playing out, causing the fragments to crash into each other in space instead.
If the Garabandal scenario does not play out regarding the fragments from Comet Schwassmann-Wachmann, I fear we may be in for multiple impacts ... which would match the vision by the Seer of Waldviertel about billions of fiery particles, some as small as grains of sand, some as large as a child's fist, striking the earth from out of the east ... followed a few minutes later by a catastrophic firestorm that consumes everything and everyone in its path:

THE RAIN OF FIRE
There will be a cosmic event most definitely before WW3 (note that the Waldviertler and the commentator Werdenberg consider "WW3" to be the Russian invasion of Europe -- major wars in the Middle East and the Balkans will be going on beforehand, they admit, wars WE might consider to be a part of WW3, but that most European prophets do not -- MM).
It will be a beautiful summer's day in Austria; no cloud to be seen in the sky. People in the village are excited; they look towards the sun which begins to darken. It is approximately 10 o'clock normal time, not summer time. Whilst the sun is getting darker, dusk is covering the earth. It is not the usual solar eclipse but a kind of fog in the universe far outside of our atmosphere.
The sky is getting darker. At first there are only a few stars, then more and more appear. One is able to see them at first in the west, then in the north. There are no stars in the east and in the south where the sun was last seen. There is no moon. It is a normal clear sky illuminated by the light of the stars. One is still able to identify the ground, but one cannot read any writing.
Suddenly the stars disappear. Complete darkness is covering the earth. A few minutes pass; now it is getting brighter. One is able to see the surrounding area. There is no sun. Billions of white dots can be observed in the East. It is like a rain of glowing fire moving from East North East to West South West very quickly. It is hitting the ground like a heavy fall of hail. The glow turns from white to yellow then to glowing red before hitting the ground. They fall in distances of 50m (165 ft) to 100m (330 ft) apart; they make no noise.
When they hit the ground they look like dust particles or grains of sand. Some are as big as a child's fist. The villagers do not seek cover; they do not appear to be afraid. The time between the sighting of the particles in the North East and their hitting the ground is a matter of seconds, maximum a minute or so.
Once the particles hit the ground, it becomes bright again. A fierce storm begins to blow now from the East and creates fire; it drives before it the fierce fire. The grass is burning; forests are burning; fields are burning; barns, sheds, and farm buildings are on fire; houses and factories are burning, too. The sun will not shine again on this day.
The cause of the rain of glowing fire might be a comet, directly or indirectly responsible for it. The seer is unable to tell. The time of year is the summer, probably the first half of August. The year is not given but it could be any year from 1995 onwards.
This would also match the "hail of fire mingled with blood" found in Revelation and the burning mountain striking the ocean, destroying a third of all life. Again, I should state what may seem obvious to some: that these comet fragments may, in actuality, be debris from Planet X (Wormwood), smashing into us as George W. Bush launches nuclear strikes against Iran, precipitating World War 3. If so, how very terrible will be the day of God's wrath to come!
Still, if the seventh seal is to be opened and the first two trumps sounded, why has there not been the global seismic destruction that occurs during the opening of the sixth seal? Perhaps this is exactly what the great West Coast Earthquakes will be a part of should they occur ... the opening of the sixth seal of Revelation. That would be sufficient to turn the sun "black as sackcloth" and the moon "the colour of blood." There is little time left for that if Mr Julien is correct.
Perhaps, we must pray, he will not be right after all.

Chunks of a comet currently splitting into pieces in the night sky will not strike the Earth next month, nor will it spawn killer tsunamis and mass extinctions, NASA officials said Thursday.
The announcement, NASA hopes, will squash rumors that a fragment of the crumbling Comet 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 3 (SW 3) will slam into Earth just before Memorial Day. “There are some Internet stories going around that there’s going to be an impact on May 25,” NASA spokesperson Grey Hautaluoma, told SPACE.com. “We just want to get the facts out.”
Astronomers have been observing 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 3, a comet that circles the Sun every 5.4 years, for more than 75 years and are confident that any of the icy object’s fragments will remain at least a distant 5.5 million miles (8.8 million kilometers) from Earth – more than 20 times the distance to the Moon – at closest approach between May 12 and May 28.
"We are very well acquainted with the trajectory of Comet 73P Schwassmann-Wachmann 3," said Donald Yeomans, manager of NASA's Near-Earth Object Program Office, in a written statement. "There is absolutely no danger to people on the ground or the inhabitants of the International Space Station, as the main body of the object and any pieces from the breakup will pass many millions of miles beyond the Earth."
The main SW 3 fragment, dubbed Fragment C, will make its closest pass by Earth on May 12 at a safe distance of 7.3 million miles (11.7 million kilometers), NASA said, adding that skywatchers will be able to use small telescopes to spot the comet chunks by scanning the constellation Vulpelca during the early-morning hours.
NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope and other instruments have been watching SW 3’s disintegration. The comet’s numerous fragments stretch across several degrees of the night sky. For comparison, the Moon’s diameter covers about one-half a degree in the sky. "Catastrophic breakups may be the ultimate fate of most comets," explained Hal Weaver, a planetary astronomer of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, in a statement.
Weaver led a team of researchers during the Hubble observations of SW 3, and used the space telescope to study the break up of comets Shoemaker-Levy 9 – which was ripped apart by Jupiter’s gravity and hit the giant planet between 1993 and 1994 – Hyakutake in 1996, and 1999 S4 (LINEAR) in 2000, NASA said.
Hubble’s new SW 3 observations suggest that chunks of the comet are pushed behind its tail by the outgassing of Sun-facing pieces. Smaller pieces appear to be ejected from their nucleus faster than their larger brethren, while other fragments seem to simply fade away. When set alongside studies by other observatories, Hubble’s images may help astronomers determine what is causing the comet’s disintegration as it nears the Earth and Sun, the space agency added.
German astronomers Arnold Schwassmann and Arno Arthur Wachmann first discovered the SW 3 comet in 1930 while hunting for asteroids. Despite its relatively short orbital period, the icy object was not seen again until 1979, and then was missed during a 1985 pass. Since then, however, astronomers have kept a close eye on SW 3 and in 1995 observed its initial break up. Aside from a great sky show, the comet poses no danger to Earth and its inhabitants, NASA officials said.
COMMENTS (4/28/06): I tend to believe articles that appear in Space.com, and for Nasa to publish an outright lie at what would now be well into the final hour is not very likely. Disinformation and misinformation is one thing, false information is another. Anyway, I would tend to trust a Nasa scientist before I would a channeler of aliens (which is where Eric Julien gets a lot of his information).
My only interest in Comet Schwassmann-Wachmann now is if it becomes bright enough to be decent naked-eye comet, something as easy to see as Hyakutake was in 1996 or Hale-Bopp in 1997 (or nearly so). If it does, it could fall into one of a number of comet "omen" prophecies by Nostradamus. We shall see.

Astronomers around the world are pointing their telescopes toward the expected appearance of a new supernova - the explosion of a massive and very distant star. The excitement follows the detection on Feb. 17 of an unprecedented blast of high-energy radiation, called a gamma ray burst, from a galaxy 440 million light years from Earth.
Gamma ray bursts, or GRBs, are observed about once a day. But astronomers trace almost all of them to the extreme depths of the universe, billions of light years away. They're the most powerful events in space, but they rarely last longer than 100 seconds.
This one startled the world's astrophysicists because it was only one-twentyfifth as far away from the Earth as is the typical gamma ray burst. Although it seemed unusually weak, it lasted for 2,000 seconds - more than a half-hour. "We're thinking, "Wow! What are we seeing?' And when we saw a little more of the data, we were really quite amazed. It looks nothing like anything anyone had ever seen," said Frank E. Marshall, an astrophysicist at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md.
Scientists believe they have a ringside seat to the death of a star with at least 10 times the mass of our sun. The gamma radiation has faded now, but astronomers everywhere are watching for the "afterglow" as the debris expands and brightens in visible wavelengths over the next week or so.
It could become bright and visible enough for amateur astronomers with especially large telescopes. But the best news is that the blast occurred far enough from Earth to pose no danger. Had the explosion gone off in our own Milky Way galaxy, Marshall said, "we'd be in a lot of trouble. Depending on how close it was, it could remove our atmosphere, and there would be an enormous radiation bath."
Gamma ray bursts were first noticed in the 1960s by Defense Department satellites watching for Soviet nuclear tests. Even into the 1990s, scientists weren't sure what GRBs were, or whether they came from the outskirts of our solar system, from inside the Milky Way, or from deep in the universe beyond ...
COMMENTS (2/28/06): At first glance, it appears that what we may have here is not a destroyer, but instead a long-awaited omen from space:
It is said in Hopi Indian prophecy that a great blue star will appear in the heavens and then afterward either a great universal awakening of spirituality and harmony will follow or humanity will continue on a "jagged path" which will taper off into oblivion. This jagged path may be the Hopi version of the biblical "latter days."
There is some confusion regarding the blue star depending on which versions of the Hopi prophecies you read. One of the most famous is by White Feather who says the blue star will be "a dwelling-place in the heavens" that falls to earth with a great crash. This may be the ISS (International Space Station) a few years from now, in 2007 or 2008.
However, other interpreters of the Hopi prophecies believe the Blue Star Kachina will be a cosmic event, a real star, supernova, or comet that will herald in a terrible global war. Here is one such interpretation:

And where will the war begin according to the Hopi? Where will the United States go to fight first?
"Those who possessed the first light of wisdom" and "those peoples who first revealed the light in the other old countries" can only mean one thing: "the white man" (America) will go to war as ally of some and enemy of others in the old wise nations of India, China, Korea, Iran, and the Middle East. The Hopi never mention Russia, but we can conclude the war spreads and, based on our other evidence, that the "many columns of smoke and fire" and the "atomic bombs and radioactivity" will come from Russia (and perhaps China and North Korea too).
Note that the last time a major bluish comet appeared in the northern hemisphere China was holding its largest war games ever off the coast of Taiwan, had fired missiles close to the Taiwan coast, and was threatening to nuke Los Angeles. Comet Hyakutake, blue-green in colour, reached its peak brightness on March 23, 1996, the very same day the war games reached their climax and Taiwan held a presidential election.
That day may have been a closer call than we'll ever know.
Now, what happens when this supernova becomes visible?
This entire affair has brought into remembrance a warning revealed to me by email that has been appearing on this page for some now. A blue "star" is now gradually becoming visible to astronomers in the form of what they anticipate will be a very bright hypernova (yes, hypernova ... due to the gamma ray burst, that is the actual term for it) one which will brighten enough to be seen in small telescopes. Soon the blue star or blue ring, whichever form it will take, could exceed astronomers' expectations and become visible to the naked eye.
It is located in the constellation Aries, the Ram. The significance of this has yet another dimension (the Ram is the symbol for Persia, now modern Iran, in Daniel's prophecy), but if this hypernova is the one emailer Richard Tassey was revealed, he claims, in a vision from God, do not look at it. For some reason millions of people will die, either from looking at it, or from events that will occur at the time it is visible:

Time in Heaven is not reckoned the same as it is to us mortals on earth. A year can seem as a day ...
Of course, some of what I have vividly dreamed (and seemingly been "shown") has taken anywhere from two years to ten years to happen, with some things still waiting in the future.
The colour blue is also very significant, possibly relating to the Blue Star Kachina prophecy.

Well the dream about the ring of fire, all i know is it has to do with chastisment because of evil of men and women and the wars and killing of babies. I know that it is getting close. The father never tells the day to any prophet, not even in the bible, but just tells us to warn them ... I know who i am, and most people do not believe me, and that's the sad part because if they believed they could listen to what the Father has to say. Another thing: there are a lot of people claiming to be prophets and some are, but only the ones that are warning people to repent and love and forgive are the true prophets of the Father's.
I was told this ring of fire will kill millions, and right now i am very sad because i am disabled and not very many people on the web will help me to get this word out, they just do not believe. I am a person that has seen many things that would boggle the minds of most people. I even have a five year old son that GOD raised from the dead and it is documented.

August 21, 2005: Since the early 1970s, astronomers have speculated about the danger posed to our planet by exploding stars called supernovae. Among the negative aspects to such an event would be the sudden depletion of Earth's protective ozone layer, the thinking goes. Left naked to space, we might then be fried by the UV rays of our own Sun.
Researchers have suggested that one or more mass extinctions during the past few hundred million years might have been triggered by supernovae, and that it might happen again. The study found that for a supernova to significantly deplete ozone it would have to occur within 26 light-years of our planet. Other data shows that this happens only about once in a billion years.
Another worry are so-called hypernovae, which are related to mysterious gamma-ray bursts in deep space. Astronomers believe these are similar to supernovae but that a beam of concentrated energy, emanating along the star's axis of rotation, happens to be pointed at Earth. Though the new study did not look into the hypernovae hazard, it's likely for one aimed at Earth to occur once every couple of hundred million years somewhere in our galaxy.

Shooting out jets of energy or blobs of stuff the size of Earth at nearly light-speed, exploding stars called supernovae may hold more potential peril than anyone had ever imagined, according to a growing suspicion among some researchers. While scientists have long tried to link supernovae to mass extinctions on Earth, there is no solid evidence. But recent observations of high-energy emissions in space have some scientists suggesting that our planet may in fact get fried every now and then.
For three decades, scientists have been puzzling over brief but intense flashes of energy known as gamma ray bursts. These GRBs, as they are called, pack more punch than any other cosmic event. Their source has been a mystery, but so far they have been observed only coming from the far corners of the cosmos.
But for the past three years, increasing evidence has linked GRBs to supernovae, a far more common event. The latest thinking, though controversial, goes like this: A giant aged star casts off its outer shell in a last gasp that sends a bubble of matter and energy racing outward. The rest of the star's matter implodes. Jets of material, or perhaps individual blobs of matter, are later hurled in two opposite directions, at nearly the speed of light, along the axis of the rotating stellar corpse. These expulsions pierce the supernova's original expanding bubble, generating a flash of high-energy radiation known as gamma rays.
If the jets or blobs happen to be pointed our way, we see the event. And if one were to be generated nearby in our galaxy and were directed at Earth, some scientists say the planet could be toast.
Fry a planet
How bad could it be? While no one can say for sure, one gamma ray expert has generated a frightening scenario. Stanford E. Woosley, an astrophysicist at the University of California, Santa Cruz, said that even from the far side of our galaxy, a GRB would be as bright as the Sun -- not in visible light, but in gamma rays. Luckily, most gamma rays -- all but the highest energy versions -- do not penetrate Earth's atmosphere. BBut the visible light does.
"Something this intense would create an optical flash by scattering electrons in the upper atmosphere and creating something like a super-aurora," Woosley said. It's an idea he's working on but has not yet published. "The flash of heat and light might flash-burn anything not in the shade," he said. "Heating the atmosphere would cause big winds. The air would be much hotter for weeks, as hot as an oven depending on the distance. This would affect the other side of the Earth eventually."
Ocean life would be spared in Woosley's scenario. But there is no consensus on whether gamma ray bursts are actually linked to supernovae, and there's even less agreement over how dangerous they might be.
Still, NASA scientists acknowledge the threat, describing it this way on a GRB informational Web page: "A gamma ray burst originating in our neck of the Milky Way, within a thousand light-years or so, could lead to mass extinction on Earth. Gamma rays interacting in the Earth's atmosphere would burn away the ozone layer, allowing deadly ultraviolet radiation to penetrate through the atmosphere. The influx of radiation would lead to widespread cancer and other diseases."
In closing, we have been bombarded by gamma rays from a hypernova. If the above report from 2001 is true, we may see a great increase in cancer and other forms of auto-immune system damage in the months and years immediately ahead. When the blue ring finally is visible to the naked eye, a flash-burning may take place, blinding some people, possibly causing minor burns on the skin as well. Hot winds will be blamed on "solar storms" whilst heat waves, super-hurricanes, and rising water will be credited to an acceleration in global warming.
Yet, as terrible as this may sound, it nothing compared with what will happen when Planet X approaches or the havoc it is already causing in the form of massive tsunamis, increased tornadic activity, killer earthquakes and mega thrusts, and increased volcanic activity, not to mention protracted hurricane seasons. A hypernova will amplify some of these phenomenon and create other severe problems of its own.
SETI Institute scientist and meteor expert Peter Jenniskens reports in a telegram issued by the International Astronomical Union's Minor Planet Center that an unexpected burst of meteors on October 5, 2005 has occurred, which betrayed the presence of a thusfar unknown, potentially Earth-threatening, comet.The burst of meteors radiated from a direction on the border of the constellations Draco and Camelopardalis, and the new shower is called the October Camelopardalids. The meteors were caused by dust ejected by an Intermediate Long-Period comet during its previous return to the Sun, and the detection of the comet's dust trail implies that the comet itself could wander into Earth's path, if so directed by the gravitational pull of the planets. The comet itself has not yet been discovered and is likely to return to Earth's vicinity only once every 200 - 10,000 years. Chances are very small that Earth will be at the intersection point at the time of the return, hence, there is no immediate concern. What people do not understand about this report is the timing. It does not say that this deadly comet will not cross earth's path for another 200 to 10,000 years. It could be any time between 200 - x to 10,000 - x.What if, in the case of 200 years, x = 198? An extinct comet may be slowing 'Planet X' -- University team's theory causes stir

IT'S one of the many mysteries of the solar system. Does the cold and faraway Sedna have a moon?
The planetoid, once dubbed Planet X, was discovered earlier this year at the furthest edge of the Solar System, eight billion miles from Earth.
But its discovery puzzled astronomers, who found that it had an extremely slow rate of rotation - spinning on its axis once every 20 Earth days compared to the Earth's once every 24 hours. The puzzle gave rise to the idea that the newly-found body must have a partner moon, whose tides were slowing it down. But despite searches by Nasa's space telescopes, Hubble and Spitzer, none has been found.
Now a team of astronomers at Cardiff University have created a stir in scientific circles by coming up with a possible answer. Professor Chandra Wickramasinghe and his team at the Centre for Astrobiology, have suggested the missing moon may in fact be an entirely new type of celestial object.
Writing in the astronomical magazine The Observatory, Prof Wickramasinghe and his colleagues, who include his daughter Janaki and Professor Bill Napier, suggest that Sedna's partner may be more like a huge extinct comet rather than a rocky planetary body.
They believe the outer crust of the missing object could be made of sticky organic particles left behind when the ice that traditionally forms a comet melts away and was captured by Sedna. The resulting body would be so black because much of it is empty space.
With such a "fairy castle" structure, the moon would absorb more than 99% of all the light that hit it, the team says.
"Why Sedna spins so slowly is a mystery but slow spin tends to mean that a moon is slowing it down," said Prof Wickramasinghe yesterday. "If it was a moon like Pluto's moon Charon, or our own, we should be able to see it. Why don't we see it? The answer I think is that it's blacker than black and the only object it could be is a comet, which makes up some of the darkest objects in the solar system."
Prof Wickramasinghe said moons, or more technically- termed satellites, tended to be captured objects and while the debate over the origin of the Earth's Moon continues, the moons of the outer planets - and there are plenty of them - had certainly been captured in the past.
Recent evidence, such as photographs of Saturn's moon Phoebe for instance, revealed a dark and irregular chunk of rock, little like the shape of most other known moons such as our own. Pictures of the comet Wildt taken by the Stardust satellite revealed it to be extremely dark in patches. "There's no easy explanation for such blackness except for the fact that the comet is a seething boiling cauldron of organic material," he said.
Now Prof Wickramasinghe is hoping that other astronomers will pick up on his theory and start to search for the missing comet/moon and others like it. Because dark matter emits little light it will be invisible to optical telescopes, but it might emit infrared radiation and be able to be picked up by infra- red telescopes.
As yet no such object has definitely been found in the solar system. But Prof Wickramasinghe believes that if there is one, there may well be hundreds, lurking beyond the outer planets of Neptune and Pluto.
"If there is a moon, it has to be the darkest object in the solar system," he said. "And if Sedna has captured such an object, there must be hundreds of other large comet objects in the vicinity."

NASA-funded researchers have discovered the most distant object orbiting Earth's Sun. The object is a mysterious planet-like body three times farther from Earth than Pluto.
"The Sun appears so small from that distance that you could completely block it out with the head of a pin," said Dr. Mike Brown, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, Calif., associate professor of planetary astronomy and leader of the research team. The object, called "Sedna" for the Inuit goddess of the ocean, is 13 billion kilometers (8 billion miles) away, in the farthest reaches of the solar system.

The object is so far away that the Sun appears as an extremely bright star instead of a large, warm disc observed from Earth. All that is known about Sedna's appearance is that it has a reddish hue, almost as red and reflective as the planet Mars. In the distance is a hypothetical small moon, which scientists believe may be orbiting this distant body.

This is likely the first detection of the long-hypothesized "Oort cloud," a faraway repository of small icy bodies that supplies the comets that streak by Earth. Other notable features of Sedna include its size and reddish color. After Mars, it is the second reddest object in the solar system. It is estimated Sedna is approximately three-fourths the size of Pluto. Sedna is likely the largest object found in the solar system since Pluto was discovered in 1930.
Brown, along with Drs. Chad Trujillo of the Gemini Observatory, Hawaii, and David Rabinowitz of Yale University, New Haven, Conn., found the planet-like object, or planetoid, on Nov. 14, 2003. The researchers used the 48-inch Samuel Oschin Telescope at Caltech's Palomar Observatory near San Diego. Within days, telescopes in Chile, Spain, Arizona and Hawaii observed the object. NASA's new Spitzer Space Telescope also looked for it.
Sedna is extremely far from the Sun, in the coldest known region of our solar system, where temperatures never rise above minus 240 degrees Celsius (minus 400 degrees Fahrenheit). The planetoid is usually even colder, because it approaches the Sun only briefly during its 10,500-year solar orbit. At its most distant, Sedna is 130 billion kilometers (84 billion miles) from the Sun, which is 900 times Earth's solar distance.
Scientists used the fact that even the Spitzer telescope was unable to detect the heat of the extremely distant, cold object to determine it must be less than 1,700 kilometers (about 1,000 miles) in diameter, which is smaller than Pluto. By combining available data, Brown estimated Sedna's size at about halfway between Pluto and Quaoar, the planetoid discovered by the same team in 2002.
The elliptical orbit of Sedna is unlike anything previously seen by astronomers. However, it resembles that of objects predicted to lie in the hypothetical Oort cloud. The cloud is thought to explain the existence of certain comets. It is believed to surround the Sun and extend outward halfway to the star closest to the Sun. But Sedna is 10 times closer than the predicted distance of the Oort cloud. Brown said this "inner Oort cloud" may have been formed by gravity from a rogue star near the Sun in the solar system's early days.
"The star would have been close enough to be brighter than the full moon, and it would have been visible in the daytime sky for 20,000 years," Brown explained. Worse, it would have dislodged comets farther out in the Oort cloud, leading to an intense comet shower that could have wiped out some or all forms of life that existed on Earth at the time.
Rabinowitz said there is indirect evidence that Sedna may have a moon. The researchers hope to check this possibility with NASA's Hubble Space Telescope. Trujillo has begun to examine the object's surface with one of the world's largest optical/infrared telescopes, the 8-meter (26-foot) Frederick C. Gillett Gemini Telescope on Mauna Kea, Hawaii. "We still don't understand what is on the surface of this body. It is nothing like what we would have predicted or what we can explain," he said.
Sedna will become closer and brighter over the next 72 years, before it begins its 10,500-year trip to the far reaches of the solar system. "The last time Sedna was this close to the Sun, Earth was just coming out of the last ice age. The next time it comes back, the world might again be a completely different place," Brown said. NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif, manages the Spitzer Space Telescope.

As if the Millennium Comet Quatrain 2.46 isn't unnerving enough with its seasonings of blood, war, famine, and plague, there is also this quatrain, possibly the most quoted, most dreaded, comet-related verse in The Centuries:
This dire prediction warns that the death of Mabus, when it occurs, will ignite a major holocaust somewhere in the world, quite possibly in the Middle East and, perhaps, far beyond the region. As the above quatrain illustrates, a horrific retaliation will follow in the wake of his death, starting an escalating cycle of reprisals, possibly nuclear. Indeed, "hundred" and "hand" may refer to 100 nuclear-armed missiles, possibly Chinese or North Korean ICBMs. They may also be linked to Al Qaeda and the missing 100 nuclear suitcases reported by the late Russian General Alexander Lebed in October 1997.
The scope of the casualties is great, but how widespread is unknown. Each "hand" could destroy a major US, European, pro-Western Arab, Turkish, or Israeli city.
The recent revelation in 2005 of debris evidence of a comet passing dangerously close to earth some future October, of course, couldn't be more potentially portentious. When it appears, it may well be visible for days, weeks, or even months. Meantime US forces are coming under increasing attacks from Iraqi insurgents, some of them actually members of Al Qaeda or terrorists under the command of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, others Iraqi Sunnis still loyal to the former Saddam regime or followers of Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr and members of his ever-growing Mahdi army which also includes mercenaries from Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. More and more the presence of Iran is being felt in Iraq, not only because of the special agents infiltrating into the Iraqi resistance, but also because a large part of the Shiite south and central regions are now under the control of Iraqi Ayatollahs Ali Sistani and Muqtada al-Sadr whose allegience is to neighbouring Iran. A great regional conflict started by Iran, Turkey, Syria, Iraqi Shiites, Iraqi Sunnis, and the Kurds could be only a few months to a year away.
Meanwhile the US inches closer to a possible war, not only with Iran, but with North Korea and its giant ally China.
Add to the mix up to 43 Al Qaeda moles living in the United States, up to 20 of them brain-washed university students, each one carrying an atomic, Hiroshima-type warhead in a suitcase.
Mabus must die first before the great slaughter can take place and he must die when a spectacular comet is visible in the night skies.
A strict observation of Quatrain 2.62 has us watching the sky at the time Mabus dies. The translation is literally, "when the comet shall course (or run)." Therefore, Mabus does not die sometime after a comet has passed -- he dies while the comet is still being observed in the sky by many millions of people.
Nor will the comet be a southern hemisphere object: Nostradamus was a European and his perspective is European. The comet will therefore be seen in the northern hemisphere.
Saddam Hussein has long been considered to be the most likely candidate for Mabus. The fact that he is now in captivity does not make him any less a portent of pending doom should he die when a comet is high in the sky. In fact, there is a quatrain by Nostradamus that says "the great captive will be falsely freed to speak and act" during a time when New York City is about to be destroyed by a nuclear device. Could Saddam be this "great captive?"
Or will Saddam suffer a fatal heart attack in his cell or commit suicide in October 2006 or October 2007, triggering a well-planned, long-awaited multiple Al Qaeda attack against various cities throughout the United States and Western Europe?
Then again, his death may not actually trigger the "great destruction of people and beasts" warned about in Quatrain 2.62. It may simply be a major event that is reported by the news a few days before a major war in the Pacific breaks out, a dreadful conflict between the United States and China begun over a Chinese invasion of Taiwan. Such an invasion appears to be more and more likely with each passing month.
Terrorist Abu Musab al-Zaraqawi actually has the right letters in his name. He is currently launching the largest terrorist attacks in history throughout Iraq and is steering the country towards civil war. Worse, he is steering the country towards an international conflict that could pull in Iran, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia. This, in turn, would lead to a Nato-Russia conflict in the Middle East since Turkey is a Nato member and Iran has a defence pact with Moscow.
Is it possible the US will finally succeed in killing Musab al-Zarqawi when a comet is high in the sky and an Iraqi civil war becomes World War III in the Middle East?
He may also be the dreaded butcher of Islamic prophecy called "the Sufyaani." When this figure dies, the messianic leader called the "al-Mahdi" declares war on the nations of the former Roman empire: Europe.
Another thing we should consider doing is place ourselves in Nostradamus' position: a European prophet who, thus far, has only named in anagram European leaders and European personalities like PAU NAY LORON (NAPAULON ROY - Napoleon the King), HISTER (Hitler), IL DUCE (Mussolini), and FRANCO, among others.
It is certainly possible that Mabus could be an European figure, not an Arab or a "new world" leader like George W. Bush.
There is a man acting as Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia named Miroljub Labus. In a future election he will again run for President. We are warned by a number of prophets, Alois Irlmaier and a Sister of the Order of Queen Brigite of Rome in particular, what the murder of a Balkan or Yugoslav leader will bring: nothing less than World War III (defined by European prophets as a Russian/Eastern invasion of all or most of Europe).
Should Miroljub Labus be killed, it could very well ignite a Third World War.
Either of these scenarios is conceivable in 2007 or 2008 if a comet dangerous to earth blazes alive.
This also leads one to an ultimate and terrifying thought if Bush is the prophesied Mabus: the "horrible destruction of people and beasts" and "vengeance revealed" could be a total thermo-nuclear war between the United States and Russia -- the ultimate outcome of the death of Mabus.
This fits a rule I believe has no margin of flexibility: the later "Mabus" dies, the more catastrophic the outcome of Quatrain 2.62.
If you keep one eye on the news and another on Nostradamus' four-line verses, you can see that the time is fast approaching for still another comet-related prophecy. This prediction concerns the troubled nation of Macedonia:
The short-lived comet above plunged into the sun hours after this photo was taken. However, it is proof that comets can take on strange shapes, like the "burning torch" mentioned in Quatrain 2.96.
Despite the ceasefire that has held between Macedonian forces and ethnic Albanian rebels since July 2001, I believe Macedonia will remain a potential flashpoint for a major Balkan war through the remainder of December 2005 and for the next two years. Indeed, neighbouring Kosovo came very close to erupting in an all-out war in March 2004.
The Seer of Waldviertel also sees the coming of two major Balkan wars in Bulgaria and Yugoslavia.
These wars, although ethnic in origin, have a religious dimension as well, since the Albanians, ethnic Turks, and Bosniaks are Moslem. Of course, this is also a part of the world that once served as a buffer zone between the Nato alliance and the former Soviet Union. Thus, it is difficult to know the true nature of this future conflict. Will it be Iranian-led Moslem troops coming to the aid of their Islamic brethren during a major Balkan conflict or an Iranian-led rogue coalition allied with a militant Russia seeking to re-conquer its former Soviet satellites and a large part of Nato Europe along with them?
The burning torch may be the comet I have predicted will appear in October 2007. This comet or the recently-discovered giant red planet called Sedna may actually be a brown dwarf star, the fabled Nibiru or Planet X, also called Wormwood in Revelation, which I believe will pass near our earth in October 2007 or October 2008.
It would therefore appear that by 2007, if not before, Macedonia, the interface which connects Greece, Bulgaria, and Yugoslavia, will become a significant theatre of war. The "assistance" provided by Western governments will arrive "too late" to stop an Iranian force that, together with its Islamic allies from adjacent regions, will be at least three to five million strong.
This Marian prophecy was revealed over a number of years from 1973 to 1979 to the late Veronica Lueken during Rosary Vigils at the Vatican Pavilion Site in Flushing Meadows Park, New York. Here is a condensed version:
My child and My children, do not be affrighted by My words. The world shall not come to an end. The Eternal Father has given His promise to mankind, that the world shall never be made extinct again, as in the past with the time of the floods. However, your world shall be cleansed with a 'baptism of fire'. Only a few, in the multitudes upon earth, shall be saved...
I have spoken to you of the BALL OF REDEMPTION to meet with much speculation from souls, I shall explain now, how this will come about: The ball will descend from the atmosphere of your earth: it will be from the heavens; it will not be man-made; it will be part of the universe.
YOU WILL BE PLANET STRUCK!
In this chastisement, My children, billions will be lost. Many lives will be lost. You bring upon yourself a punishment far greater than ever has been seen upon earth and never shall be seen again, for when you go through this chastisement, there will be few creatures left upon earth.
Can you not understand that when the Ball of Redemption is sent upon you three-quarters of your world shall be gone?
What could cause this horrific prophecy to come true? Could this be related to the ancient prophecy from Sumerian, Babylonian, and Hebrew times -- about a "10th planet," a "red comet" to the Hebrews of Exodus, "a red star" to ancient Chinese prophets, Planet X to us, Marduk to the Babylonians, Nibiru to the Sumerians, and Wormwood to the Bible prophet St. John?
Is the "Ball of Redemption" the recently-discovered red "planet" Sedna, now moving towards the sun and inner solar system in its highly elliptical, comet-like orbit, or a fiery brown dwarf star hurtling in our direction and as of yet unseen -- a sun that collapsed inwardly, a dark star that has tremendous gravitational influence on everything that it passes, a death star.
According to experts like Immanuel Velikovsky and Zecharia Sitchin, this object was once called Typhon, Marduk, Mazda, Shiva, Wotan, Nibiru, Pallas Athena, and many other names by the ancients during its last passage 3500 years ago in 1495 BC -- the time of Exodus:

In the year of the world 2453 (1495 BC) -- as many trustworthy authors, on the basis of many conjectures, have determined -- a comet appeared which Pliny also mentioned in his second book. It was fiery, of irregular circular form, with a wrapped head; it was in the shape of a globe and was of terrible aspect. It is said that King Typhon ruled at that time in Egypt ... Certain authorities assert that the comet was seen in Syria, Babylonia, India, in the sign of Capricorn, in the form of a disc, at the time when the children of Israel advanced from Egypt toward the Promised Land, led on their way by the pillar of cloud during the day and by the pillar of fire at night.
Pliny's "Natural History" --
A terrible comet was seen by the people of Ethiopia and Egypt, to which Typhon, the king of that period, gave his name; it had a fiery appearance and was twisted like a coil, and it was very grim to behold: it was not really a star so much as what might be called a ball of fire.
According to the calculations of both men, it must return again sometime between 2005 and 2105. When it does, it will come close to earth, causing it to stop in its rotation for three days. Then, in the space of one hour, the earth will shift 90 degrees. During that one hour billions will die. Estimates are that as few as 600,000,000 people will survive.
Many will die before that even .. from the many earth changes that will occur between now and its arrival (if that arrival should be in 2007, 2008, or 2009). The volcanic rumblings near Krakatoa and the Sumatra earthquake and killer tsunami it generated may only be the beginning. Nibiru, it seems, has a long reach and will cause many earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, deluges, forest fires, and super hurricanes even before it is seen. Phenomena that will be blamed on El Nino, sunspots, and other mundane explanations.
Of course there are some experts on the Mayan calendar who disagree and say Nibiru will not arrive until 2012.
My own research into Velikovsky's work indicates that there may well be two passages: an inbound one that causes horrific but survivable destruction sometime in 2007 and 2008 or as late as 2012, and the outbound passage that will occur between 36 and 52 years later, destroying most of humanity and, in the words of Mother Shipton, leave only "such a tiny band" of survivors (about 6 million).
During this object's last passage, according to Immanuel Velikovsky, the ancient Maya and Mexicans, among others, recorded that the terrible comet returned as a fiery serpent 52 years later and caused a second world cataclysm in 1443 BC.
They then began holding special sacrifices every 52 years to keep the serpent from returning (which it never did again). During this second and more destructive passage, the Greeks called the celestial destroyer Pallas Athena.
During the height of World War III, which it is believed by many German, Austrian, and other Central European prophets will begin in July or August of a year during or not long after the beginning of the Third Millennium, Russia and many of its allied Eastern armies will be destroyed by bio-chem weapons ("yellow dust," "yellow or green powder," "deadly dust," "false dust," etc) and forced into a retreat from Europe by certain Western powers, France being named as one of them. According to some prophets such as Erna Stieglitz, at this time a total thermonuclear war will take place between Russia and the United States. There will then come a terrible time called "the three days of darkness" during which 2/3 of humanity (or more) will perish. This three day period is consistent with what Planet X theorists and conspiracists alike say will happen when the large massive body nears our planet: the earth's rotation will stop for three days followed by a 90 degree shifting of the earth's axis over the span of just one hour.Although it is clear that Planet X did not arrive on May 15, 2003, as predicted by Nancy Lieder of ZetaTalk and Mark Hazlewood, book authors who capitalised well on their mutual concocted scare, this does not mean Planet X doesn't exist and won't pass near our world at some other point in the future. Astronomers appear to be preparing us gradually for the inevitable passage of Planet X to which they have given the name Sedna.In the prophecy of Garabandal we were introduced to the final event in a series of four: The Chastisement. It is my theory that this chastisement and the so-called Planet X or Sedna may be one and the same.The Chastisement may be related to the following prophecy by Nostradamus concerning a comet that appears like two suns:From the Epistle to Henry II by Nostradamus --
Beforehand there shall precede a solar eclipse more obscure and more dark than any since before the creation of the world except for the death and passion of Jesus Christ, of exception until now, and there will be in the month of October .a great moving and translation made, and such it will be that one will think the earth has lost its natural movement, and will be [plunged] into the abyss in perpetual darkness...
The Great Double Star and the Great PontiffThere is a well-known prophecy by Nostradamus concerning a time when a pope will leave Rome when a brilliant star is burning in the heavens:
Many interpreters believe this portends a time when the Pope will be forced to flee Rome during an attack on Italy and seek refuge in another country. I must confess that I too am partial to that scenario.
The comet foreseen by Nostradamus in the above verse will burn its brightest over a period of seven days. More importantly, line 2 says that the star's cloud will appear like a second sun, making two suns appear.One obvious impression is that this will be a daylight comet or object and will appear alongside the sun. Thus we will see two suns seemingly side by side.Then again, if the mastiff is howling "all night" (making this a nocturnal phenomenon), there may be another reason why this comet or "star" will appear as two suns.Since the appearance in May-July 2001 of Comet LINEAR A2, it is remotely possible that Nostradamus was speaking about a comet with two brilliant heads surrounded by a coma (cloudy particles of gas and dust that surround the head of a comet).
On May 2, 2001, Comet LINEAR 2001 A2 began the process of becoming two comets -- a "double comet." In the above plate taken on May 17, 2001, one can see the separation of the two cometary bodies that were once a single comet's head. Note too how pronounced the cloud surrounding the twin heads became. In later observations, two separate tails could be distinguished -- evidence that LINEAR A2 was becoming two distinctly different comets. Had this comet reached Hale-Bopp brightness (or better yet, Lexell's Comet brilliance), it would have fulfilled the letter of Nostradamus' prophecy.
This is perhaps what we may see when the "great star" appears during a time of terrible war in Italy and the rest of Europe and a pope's flight from the Vatican. Only this comet will be immensely bright -- like full moons or blazing suns.
That is, if it is indeed a comet ...We will find scarcely any European prophets who do not agree with Nostradamus concerning the flight of the Pope -- those who bother to relate an entire view of the great global war to come anyway. It should be noted that this flight from Rome always occurs during the height of World War III -- just prior to the three days of darkness and the great horrors that follow.There is an ancient prophecy that describes what may be the slowing of the earth's rotation, something that researchers abscribe to the gravitational force exerted upon the earth by an object like a brown dwarf star, something that Planet X is purported to be. It describes the sun "halting" in the heavens:
The fiery invasion of southern France is echoed in this ancient document authored by an unknown clergyman in AD 346. Entitled the Liber Vaticinationem Quodam Instinctumentis, it presages three world wars that will directly involve Germany, the first two as an aggressor and the last as a defender of "the Empire" against the invaders from the East.

In the autumn of 2000 and winter of 2001 I experienced several vivid dreams regarding a strange red comet, the third in a series, visible over a period of many months at night and especially in daylight.
Here is one of my dreams, from October 11, 2000:
I remember that there was a great sense of excitement and spiritual unity of some type and it was positive. There was also a prophecy, one not yet known about at this time, that everyone in the world understood and was awaiting its fulfillment. There would be a third comet or something celestial, the third in a series according to the prophecy, and when it would appear, most of the people on earth would die. What was confusing to me was why there was so much celebration of the coming of something that would bring mass death. I also saw it, but the strange part was that it was usually in the day. It looked red and not really like any comet I have ever seen. I don't know if such a thing is even
