I'm sadden that this did happen and very angry at the Sago Mine owner. As you can clearly see, I predicted this was going to happen back in November of 2005. And it makes me even more angry was the fact that I sent emails to every coal mine in West Virginia and to the Governor the very next day, yet no one replied...so in my book...if you ignored my warning, your responsible for what I saw in my dream...

Badly burned men waiting for a rescue mission that came way to late. In my dream they all died one by one, saying to each other that "Ben will get us out"....yet "Ben" never came, and they died some 15 hours after the accident.

I really do not understand why someone did not go in there right away, wouldn't a simple divers air tank and mask be enough?? Doesn't the fire department have a suit someone could worn??

All I have heard from the mines CEO is that they need to be safe during the recovery...well why start now???

Someone should have went in there ASAP, despite the danger to themselves, instead the mining company just let their employees slowly die...If a live and death matter, you need to do EVERYTHING to save lives, they should of had dozens of 6 inch holes drilled right away...there is no excuse for this and I hope the responsible person goes to jail.

Humans are species on earth that will risk their own lives to say a total stranger...and there is a reason for it...and I know why.

Jan 20th 2006, THIS EVENT HAPPENED AGAIN...YET NO ONE LISTENED AND IN A FEW DAYS THE WORLD WILL KNOW THIS COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED, AS A FIRE IN THIS EXACT SAME MINE SHAFT HAPPEN 8 DAYS AGO...HOW DO I KNOW THIS??? IT'S WAS IN MY DREAM!

This has now happened and was predicted over 1 month ago, I also sent emails to coal mines in West Virginia, yet received no replay. I also predicted another one very soon.

Explosion at W.Va. Coal Mine Traps 13 Miners More Than a Mile Underground

TALLMANSVILLE, W.Va. Jan 2, 2006 — A coal mine explosion that may have been sparked by lightning trapped 13 miners underground Monday, officials said.

The mine had been idle over the holiday and the explosion occurred as the first shift of miners entered to resume production, said Lara Ramsburg, spokeswoman for Gov. Joe Manchin.

"As they were heading in, the car in the back either heard or felt some type of explosion. They headed back out. The first car never made it back out," she said.

Four co-workers attempted to reach the missing miners, but they "came to a wall" of debris, said Steve Milligan, deputy director of Upshur County's Office of Emergency Management.

Hours later, mine rescue teams had not been able to enter the mine because gasses were still venting and it was too dangerous to go in, said Sam Kitts, vice president of operations for International Coal Group Inc., which owns the mine through its recent purchase of Anker West Virginia Mining Co.

The federal Mine Safety and Health Administration dispatched a rescue robot to the mine, which is about 100 miles northeast of Charleston in the north-central part of the state.

The explosion knocked out the mine's communication equipment and company officials had not been able to make contact with the miners, said spokesman Greg Brunnhuber.

The cause of the explosion was not immediately known, but Ramsburg said officials believed it may have been caused by a lightning strike. A series of severe thunderstorms moved through West Virginia early Monday.

Officials originally placed the time of the explosion at 8 a.m., but Ramsburg said it happened between 6 and 6:30 a.m.

Co-workers and relatives of those trapped gathered at the Sago Baptist Church, across the road from the mining complex.

Anna Simpson said her husband, Randall, 27, was among those missing.

She said he had worked at the mine for three years "but was looking to get out. It was too dangerous."

Miners who work in the mine carry individual air purifying systems that would give them up to seven hours of clean air, said Tim McGee, who works at the mine and was among the 200 people at the church.

Less than 24-hours after 12 of the 13 workers trapped by a West Virginia mine explosion were found dead, critics were already politicizing the disaster, with at least one mine safety expert blaming President Bush.

"This mine should have been closed," former director of the National Mine Safety and Health Academy, Jack Spadaro, told Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes" Wednesday night.

"There were too many serious [safety] violations and the record is very clear," he added.

Asked why the allegedly unsafe mine continued to operate, Spadaro contended:

"I think it's because of the current Bush administration's policies toward mine operators and their reluctance to take the strong enforcement action that's sometimes necessary."
