A 22 year old soldier from Ft. Benning received his first anthrax inoculation on 3/17/98 and began suffering flu-like symptoms, severe headaches, a rash over arms, back, and chest, and bloody diarrhea which lasted a few days. Injection number two came 3/31/98, he began suffering the same type symptoms, only worse,when he went to the medical facility he was put on antibiotics. Then came shot number three 4/14/98 while still on antibiotics! Once again the same symptoms only worse for the newly married young man.
After vaccine number four on 9/22/98, this young man began having black-outs. In the past few months he has had 21 blackouts, the most severe being lastThursday when during a blackout, the medics could not detect a pulse. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance, seen by a physician and released the same day. Epilepsy has been ruled out. NONE of these adverse reactions have been reported to the FDA by the military.
This young man is now facing a medical discharge with 10-15% disability in the next few weeks. He will not qualify for military medical benefits unless he is at least 30% disabled. He is also facing a liver biopsy, has been diagnosed with a mass behind the sinus cavity, and suffering horrible joint aches and pains, severe tightness in the chest, diarrhea and horrible headaches. All of this young man's inoculations came from Lot FAV020 (the expired lot).
Joseph Jone's mother, has described his blackouts as seizures with muscles tightening and his eyes glazing over. Senator Phil Graham has begun an investigation of his case, and the case number is #81103787. He was flown to Agusta Ga. to be examined at the Eisenhower Hospital.

This morning the Army Surgeon General has ordered a press blackout on Fort Benning. Nobody on base is allowed to talk to the media. This came after a reporter contacted Joseph's physician asking questions.
